Start on the Mac
Run through NIAC or attach a process you own. NIAC records why the Mac is awake without reading prompts or terminal output.

Pair once
Confirm the same transcript code on both devices. Pairing keys, not the account token, authorise remote status and controls.

Check honestly
See measured power, resource and agent evidence while the Mac reports. If it sleeps or disconnects, NIAC shows last confirmed or offline.
Closed-lid work stays gated.
Travel Guard is locked while closed-lid continuation is measured. NIAC does not promise that closing a MacBook lid will keep work running, and it never presents a stale reading as live.

NIAC always shows the reason it is active. Use Always On, set a timer, or let a managed agent keep the session alive until it finishes.
Watch from your iPhone
Local builds let a confirmed paired iPhone see measured session, battery, connection and last-confirmed state. The production relay is not live.
Secure it from your phone
Local builds distinguish relay delivery from a genuine Mac acknowledgement. A sleep request stays “securing” until macOS actually reports sleep.
Phone Tether
Off at home by default. When you deliberately enable it, NIAC waits through a grace period and never claims an exact distance from one Bluetooth reading.
Private by design
Pairing is encrypted, controls are signed, and the relay cannot read session contents. NIAC does not need location, contacts, photos, microphone, source code or browsing history.

Niac by Forlais is a Mac and iPhone application published by Forlais Group Ltd. Local builds contain confirmed-pairing, signed and encrypted iPhone transport. The production relay is not live, so remote monitoring and controls are not yet a production capability.
Google data stays limited to sign-in.
Sign in with Google opens or creates your NIAC account. NIAC does not read Gmail, contacts, Drive or photos, and does not use Google data for advertising. Read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Features depend on your Mac model, macOS version, connection and compatibility result. NIAC does not replace Find My, FileVault or your Mac login password.
